We are looking for a hands-on Interim Management Accountant with strong Xero experience to support the continued development of our finance function, reporting, and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, improving processes, producing high-quality management information, and ensuring finance systems are operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the chart of accounts and reporting structure within Xero.
- Load and manage budgets within Xero.
- Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and budget variance reporting.
- Develop and automate management information and board reporting.
- Improve finance processes, controls and reconciliations.
- Support implementation of purchasing/AP solutions and cashflow forecasting tools.
- Develop project and event reporting using Xero tracking categories.
- Support month-end close and ensure reporting is delivered to agreed deadlines.
- Assist with audit preparation, lead schedules and supporting reports.
- Train and support finance team members on Xero best practice.
- Act as a trusted finance systems and reporting resource for the business.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant.
- Strong, demonstrable Xero experience (essential).
- Proven experience producing monthly management accounts.
- Excellent reconciliation and financial control skills.
- Experience improving finance processes and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
