We are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful and innovative business on the outskirts of Cambridge to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner.
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is continuing to invest in its people function. Reporting to the HR Director and working alongside an established Senior HR Business Partner, you will take ownership of dedicated client groups across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees while driving key people initiatives.
 
This role offers the perfect blend of business partnering and hands-on operational HR, providing the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic organisation.
 
What You'll Be Doing
 
No two weeks are the same, but your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Providing comprehensive HR Business Partner support across arrange of functions
  • Partnering with managers to provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance improvement, and conflict resolution.
  • Supporting talent management and succession planning initiatives to help develop future organisational capability.
  • Driving employee engagement activities and helping to analyse and act upon employee feedback and pulse survey results.
  • Supporting governance and compliance activities, ensuring employment practices remain aligned with legislation and best practice.
  • Reviewing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain current and effective.
  • Leading and contributing to a variety of HR projects and organisational initiatives.
  • Supporting learning and development programmes, including training design, delivery and administration.
  • Managing compliance training records, monitoring completion rates, and escalating where appropriate.
  • Enhancing the employer brand through collaboration with both the HR and Marketing teams.
  • Partnering with the HR Officer to optimise and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS).
 
What We're Looking For
 
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
 
  • Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, with the confidence to advise on complex HR matters and deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification, or currently working towards it.
