HR Advisor
Cambridge with travel to another site in south Cambs once a week.
Hybrid Working – 2 days on site
Upto £38,000 FTE 
35 hours per week
 
We are delighted to be partnering with a well-respected organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor on a 3-month temporary contract to provide cover within their established HR team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience who enjoys a hands-on, advisory role supporting operational teams. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the operations functions, providing practical HR support and guidance on a range of people matters.
 
The Role:
 
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will join a supportive team consisting of two HR Advisors and a Project Specialist. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR advice and guidance, with a particular focus on employee relations and case management.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
 
  • Managing a range of employee relations casework, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Supporting occupational health referrals and absence-related processes.
  • Advising on flexible working requests, organisational changes and other employee matters.
  • Ensuring HR processes are followed accurately and consistently.
  • Maintaining employee records and supporting HR administration through the HRIS.
  • Building strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across supported business areas.
 
About You:
 
We are keen to hear from HR professionals who have:
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
  • Strong employee relations and case management experience.
  • Confidence advising managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • A process-driven approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using HR systems, although training can be provided.
 
Please note that regular travel between Cambridge and the site in south Cambs, so applicants should have access to reliable transport.
