We're supporting a growing and ambitious manufacturing group as they invest in technology, systems and operational capability to support the next phase of business growth. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied technology and business systems estate, helping shape the roadmap, improve processes and ensure technology is aligned to the needs of a fast-evolving business. 
 
This role could suit an experienced IT & Business Systems Manager looking for broader responsibility, or an ambitious technology leader ready to step into their first #1 role and make a genuine impact. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Develop and deliver the technology and business systems roadmap. 
  • Lead and improve core IT and business systems across multiple sites. 
  • Drive system optimisation, process improvement and operational efficiency. 
  • Manage and develop relationships with outsourced IT partners, ensuring strong service delivery, accountability and value for money. 
  • Define and refine responsibilities between internal teams and third-party technology providers. 
  • Own cyber security strategy, governance and risk management. 
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives. 
  • Provide leadership to a small internal team whilst coordinating external support partners. 
  • Identify opportunities to simplify systems, reduce manual processes and improve the flow of information across the business. 
  • Establish supplier governance, service standards and performance measures. 
 
About You 
  • Experience leading IT, business systems or technology functions. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels. 
  • Exposure to ERP, operational systems or business-critical applications. 
  • Experience managing suppliers, MSPs and third-party technology providers. 
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to balance risk, cost and business priorities. 
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment whilst providing strategic direction. 
  • Able to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions. 
  • Experience delivering technology change, systems improvements or transformation initiatives.
