Are you an HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, providing practical advice, and making a real impact on the employee experience?

We're looking for a proactive and people-focused People Advisor to join a busy and supportive People Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HR advisory experience who enjoys employee relations, coaching managers, and helping create a positive workplace culture.

In this varied role, you'll be the first point of contact for managers on a range of people matters, providing clear, pragmatic and legally compliant advice while helping to resolve issues early and effectively.

As People Advisor, you'll be involved in a broad mix of people-related activities, including:
  • Advising managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practice
  • Managing a range of employee relations cases, including probation reviews, absence management, flexible working requests, performance concerns and low-level disciplinary matters
  • Supporting investigations, hearings and formal meetings, including note-taking where required
  • Coaching managers on people management approaches and helping them navigate employee challenges with confidence
  • Supporting wellbeing initiatives and attendance management processes
  • Contributing to recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities
  • Maintaining accurate case records and identifying trends or emerging risks
  • Assisting with HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives and the development of manager guidance materials
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and promoting a positive employee relations culture
About you...
We're keen to hear from HR professionals who can combine strong technical knowledge with a practical and approachable style.
  • Experience working in an HR generalist role
  • Previous experience providing advice on HR policies and employee relations matters
  • Confidence managing lower-level ER cases independently
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)

This is an opportunity to join an organisation that values collaboration, fairness, inclusion and continuous improvement. You'll be part of a friendly and professional team where your expertise is valued, your development is supported, and you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference to colleagues across the organisation. If you're looking for your next HR opportunity and want a role where you can build trusted relationships, influence positive outcomes, and develop your HR career, we'd love to hear from you.
