A growing engineering business is looking for an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team. Working closely with engineering, production and supplier partners, you'll be responsible for ensuring materials and components are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

A growing engineering business is looking for an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team. Working closely with engineering, production and supplier partners, you'll be responsible for ensuring materials and components are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing requirements from Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Source components, obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers.
- Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules.
- Expedite outstanding orders and resolve supply issues.
- Work closely with engineering, production and stores teams.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data within the ERP system.
- Support supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous purchasing experience within manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience working with BOMs.
- Strong ERP and Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Salary - £40,000 - £45,000
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
